H5 Construction offers pre-purchase building reports to Wanaka and Lake Hawea. Our service gives clients a comprehensive and detailed report on residential, commercial and rural properties. All of our building reports are conducted by Licenced Building Practitioners and are completed within 72 hours.

Building Report Process

Our reports are comprehensive clear and prepared in a professional manor. Most reports are between 10-25 pages of detailed information depending on the clients requests.

The building inspection consists of:

• Interior lining and doors
• Exterior cladding
• Roof space
• Subfloor
• Roof (subject to health and safety)
• Garage, outbuildings
• Bathrooms
• Retaining walls
• Steps, fencing, paths and driveways
• Site drainage
• Floor levels
• Moisture checking (on request)

A report is provided within 72 hours.

What is not covered:

• Anything hidden by the internal lining or external cladding of the property.
• Household appliances
• Operations of fireplaces and other operational equipment
• Compliance checks or health and safety issues
• Unconsented works within the premises

Maintenance Planning

We also provide additional maintenance plans if we believe there are certain areas of the property which may require attention in the near future. These plans are easy to follow and give a broad guideline to remedy any issues that may arise.
